Paul Reiser, the star of the TV series My Two Dads, combines his stand-up comedy routine with a mini-movie. The movie is about a fantasy in which Reiser searches for a fantasy in which Reiser searches for a beautiful dreamlike lady who keeps reappearing and wanting to know the meaning of "the real thing." This featurette breaks the usual comedian-stand up mold and makes Out on a Whim worth a viewing.
